Your website, hosted safely
for free, for life
StartSmartFreeHosting-AI™ is a step-by-step eBook that shows you how to move your WordPress (or similar) website to secure, low-maintenance hosting with no monthly hosting bill. Keep your design. Lose the updates, the plugin worries and the bills.
Made for static websites, not every website
StartSmartFreeHosting-AI™ is not for every website. It is made mostly for static websites: sites that show the same information to every visitor and do not change too often.
Good fit
- Brochure and business-card websites
- Portfolios
- Personal websites
- Landing pages
- Small business information sites
- Sites you update now and then, not every day
Not a fit as it is
- Online shops with a cart and checkout
- Membership or login sites
- Booking systems
- Forums and community sites
- Sites updated every day by many editors
- Plugin-heavy WordPress sites that rely on a database

Running WordPress can feel like a second job
Your website should work for you, not the other way round. Yet most sites need constant care.
Endless updates
Core, theme and plugin updates keep arriving, and any one of them can break your site.
Plugin juggling
Every plugin is more code from someone else to trust, patch and keep compatible with the rest.
Security vulnerabilities
Every login page, plugin and outdated component is a door attackers try. Fall behind on patches and you are exposed.
Hosting bills
You pay every month for hosting, backups and add-ons, just to keep your site online.
Your step-by-step move to safe, free hosting
- 1 Capture your site exactly as it is: every page, image, video and your design
- 2 Move it somewhere safe that costs nothing: no monthly hosting bill, nothing to patch
- 3 Keep your own domain, with a free security certificate that renews itself
- 4 Keep your email flowing: no lost messages before, during or after the move
- 5 Switch over with zero downtime, with simple checks before and after
- 6 Switch off the old bills and close your old hosting account with confidence
kdmackey.com: moved, and still looking the same
K.Duane (KD), co-founder of SmartBizTech, has just moved his own site, kdmackey.com, off paid hosting using the same method this guide teaches. The old paid hosting has been shut down.
What stayed the same: the site's design and its hero video. Email kept working through the move.
What changed: no more monthly hosting bill, and a free security certificate that renews itself.
One guide, one small price

Questions, answered
Is the hosting really free?
There is no monthly hosting bill for a typical small business website. You still pay for your domain name as usual. The guide explains exactly what is free, and what to watch for as your site grows.
Is it secure?
Yes. There is nothing to patch or update and nothing for hackers to break into, and your site comes with a free security certificate that renews itself.
Will my site look the same?
That is the aim. The guide shows you how to keep your existing design, words, images and video. kdmackey.com kept its design and hero video.
What happens to my email?
Your email stays with your current email provider. The guide walks you through what to carry across before you switch, so your mail keeps flowing.
Can I keep changing my site after the move?
Yes. You can keep editing and growing your site with AI, just by asking. Choose our managed subscription, where SmartBizTech's AI agent makes changes for you, or a one-off setup session where we show you how to connect your own AI assistant so you can edit your site yourself.
Is this right for my website?
Maybe not, and that is fine. It is made mostly for static websites that do not change too often: brochure and business-card sites, portfolios, personal sites, landing pages and small business information sites.
It is not a fit as it is for online shops with a cart and checkout, membership or login sites, booking systems, forums, sites updated every day by many editors, or plugin-heavy WordPress sites that rely on a database. Not sure? Talk to us first.
Do I need to be technical?
You need to be comfortable following clear steps and copying a few settings. If you would rather not, SmartBizTech can do it for you.
When can I get it?
The eBook is coming soon. Ask for early access and we will let you know as soon as it is ready.
